First Alaskan-born governor and lt. governor team to be sworn into office Monday, December 1, 2014.
Who: Bill Walker and Byron Mallott, the first Alaska-born governor and lieutenant governor to be sworn in during a public ceremony in Juneau.
What: Walker/Mallott Inauguration with cake and punch reception to follow.
When: Monday, December 1st, 11:30 am
Where: Centennial Hall, 101 Egan Dr., Juneau, AK 99801.
Why: Article 3 of the Alaska Constitution states a governor’s term in office begins at noon on the first Monday in December following election.
